Hi All

Thanks to the those  that have already  let me know  if their  circumstances are different  from last week for attending rehearsal tonight,  if there any others can you let me know please. 


As has been heard recently, the infection rates are starting to increase again.

The results for the last seven days are as follows:-

Southampton – 1164 +16%

Eastleigh – 786 +35%

Portsmouth – 908 +12%

Pre rehearsal health check

1) Do you have any Covid-19 symptoms now, or have you had any in the last 7 days? (Raised temperature, flu like symptoms, generally feeling unwell,  new persistent cough, loss of or change to your sense of taste or smell).  

Yes

No

2) Have you been in close contact with anyone who has symptoms or tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 10days?

Yes

No

3) Has someone in your household tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 10 days?

Yes

No

4) Within the past 10 days, have you been contacted by ‘Track and Trace’ and told you should self-isolate? 

Yes 

No

5) Within the past 10 days, have you returned from abroad and told to quarantine?

Yes

No

*** If any of the answers to the above questions is ‘YES’, even if you are fully vaccinated, PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND IN PERSON REHEARSAL ***

We mentioned the other week about people needed to do solos, readings, groups etc to add to the Christmas Concert.
Can you let us know if you are working on something that you would like to be considered to be included. It’s getting close only a few weeks away 😱 🎄 🎶

Hope you are all well and fit.   Liz Kemp will not be joining us tonight as she has had a positive PCR test she is much better  and all being well will be back with us next week.  I will also not be there again tonight but will be on zoom due to Chris’s positive test.

Thanks to the others that have already  let me know  if their  circumstances are different  from last week for attending rehearsal tonight, but if there any others can you let me know please. 

The infection rates are still on a downward projection for our areas, as they are for the rest of the country.

The rates for the seven day to the 10 November are as follows:-

Southampton – 954 -16%

Eastleigh – 601 -25%

Portsmouth – 781 -1%

I forgot to add that if the C02 Monitor remains stable and it is not too cold Chris may extend the rehearsal a bit to 9.30pm. He is just going to see how it goes.
We will also have a guest pianist tonight who will possibly be doing some of the playing and observing. So be on your best behaviour everyone!!

Just to let you know I will not be at choir tonight or next week as  Chris has had a positive PCR test  although he has no symptoms.  Because of this I have decided to isolate with him to be on the safe side, my test came back negative.  I do not have to isolate but talking to other committee members we think this is the right thing to do so we have added it to our health check, there are a few changes so please could you have a look at it please.

Thanks to those that have let me know if your circumstances are different  for attending rehearsal tonight.  And good luck to Pete Blake who is not attending but may be on zoom who has his hip op very soon also to Ann who is not attending as she has an op to look forward to as well.

If you can let me know ASAP so that I can get the seating plan done as Eric has kindly offered to pick it up this afternoon when he picks up the key.

Full working order.  However, Ariel socket broken, so just has wire hanging out instead.  Easy fix if required, otherwise just twist wire to Ariel wire as I’ve been doing.

There has been a slow down in the infection rates over the past week.

The rates are as follows:-

Southampton – 1439 +5%

Eastleigh – 988 -4%

Portsmouth – 1021 -3%

In the light of Jane’s positive test last Friday we would really appreciate if you could  remember to take a  your Lateral Flow Test today please.  Thank you.

I have spoken to Jane today and she and her husband are feeling rough with flu like symptoms but are doing ok and she has friends and family making sure that they have everything they need.  Sending best wishes Jane and Chris Get Well Soon xx 💐
