FROM A DISTANCE
if you wish to sing along go to youtube:
Bette Midler – From a Distance (piano solo) 2015
(not the 2010 version)
Social distance, the way that we must go
if we want to sing again…
Keep your distance,
go wash your germ filled hands
and always san-itize. (wear a mask).
Ye..s, persistence, we..e must all obey
for the choir to sur-vive.
We’ll sing songs of hope,
we’ll sing song of joy,
we’ll sing LOVE, to e-ve-ryone.
piano
From a distance, we… shall see the past,
they were great and glorious days.
But the fu-ture,
it will be better still
we’ll have a real, exciting time.
From a distance, wee-ll sing virtual songs
through zoom meetings every we-ek
singing soprano parts
singing the alto parts
we’ll sing me-n’s parts everyone.
Lillian’s watching us,
sheee is gui-ding us,
she’s conducting us
through social media.

we’ll have a real, exciting time.
From a distance, wee-ll sing virtual songs
through zoom meetings every we-ek
singing soprano parts
singing the alto parts
we’ll sing me-n’s parts everyone.
we shall use our phones,
send our video’d parts,
to be formed…. into a virtual choir.
Lillian’s mixing it
yes, she’s fixing it
she’s creating it……
Our Virtual Choir.
We shall be back again
be.. together again…
We’ll be winners ………
AT A DISTANCE.
