Lins Emails

Fwd: My Fair Lady

Hi All
Sending on it sounds like fun.

Hi Lin,

Jenny Sutton from my previous choir, Twyford & Shawford has sent me this & wondered if anyone from our choir would be interested in attending. I obviously used to go to these & they are fun & an enjoyable day out.
Many thanks
Jennie Soley

Hello Jennie, herewith our flyer for MFL! I know you won’t be able to come but if you could forward to your singers? They might like to dress up for the day ( or not!) and bring a sandwich, to sing all the best songs from the show!

CHANGES IN GUIDANCE

Hi All

We have changed things slightly to accommodate the new rulings and taking choir members response to the recent emails sent out to you.  If anyone is not happy with any of the new plans then please feel free  to contact me or a committee member and we will do our best to accommodate your concerns.  For example if you would like to sit further apart then we can adjust the seating plan to be able to make you feel more comfortable.

I will no longer be sending this information out each week so please keep a copy or make it accessible for you to refer to if necessary. It will also be available to view on the website.

We are doing our best to make everyone have a pleasant experience at choir and to feel as safe as we can.

These new directions will be added to the New Music Makers Risk Assessment.

1.  It should be the individual choir members responsibility to NOT attend choir if they have any illness that they think they could pass on to others, including colds, throat infections, viruses etc. even if they have had a negative LFT test.

2.   It would still be advised and encouraged that choir members take an LFT  before attending a rehearsal.

3.   MASKS – can be worn at the choir member discretion. As from the 27th January 2022  “The government “recommends” that people wear face coverings in enclosed or private spaces, but this will be a personal judgement”.

4.    VENTILATION  – windows at the side and the back of the Hall will be opened and a  watch will be kept on the monitor should there need to be any further action.

5.    SEATING – The seats will be placed a meter apart from the centre of the chair.

6.    These recommendations will be reviewed regularly and will be changed if necessary should things change with the government regulations.

7. If you have tested positive for Covid could you let the Committee know and  follow all of the current restrictions and advise from the Government track and trace.

Hi All

Thanks to everyone that has responded to the change in guideline email and those that responded to my last email.

There will not be many changes this week as we will have to look at the risk assessment and get that in order by next week but we will be trying out with the  windows just slightly opened and keeping an eye on the monitor so hopefully it will not be quite so chilly.

So if we can do all the things that we did last week, that would be appreciated check last weeks email if you are unsure.  We have a Committee meeting next week and  we will let you know of any more changes.

We are having a split rehearsal between Chris and Lillian this week and next week we are having  sectionals.

There is a difference to to the ending of Sweet Caroline but there is no need to print off another copy all will come clear this evening.

Changes in Rehearsal Guidelines

Hi All

Due to the government latest recommendations we thought we would get your thoughts on how you would like us to go ahead with our guideline.  If you are happy with these suggestions then there is no reason to reply but we would welcome any comments or suggestions. All this depends on what the situation is at the time of each rehearsal.

1.   It should be the individual choir members responsibility to NOT attend choir if they have any illness that they think they could pass on to others, including colds, throat infections, viruses etc. even if they have had a negative LFT.

Hi All

Thanks to the those  that have already  let me know  if your  circumstances are different  from last week for attending rehearsal tonight, but if there any others can you let me know please asap.

If it is your first time back or if you forgot last week back please bring your Christmas Music back in alphabetical order.

Things seem to be getting a little better but it would still be appreciated for the safety of all choir members if you could take a Lateral Flow Test on the day of attending choir and if  the test is positive then isolate for the Government recommended days before returning to rehearsal.

The Pre rehearsal health check is just a reminder although I am sure we have been doing it long enough now that we know it backwards.  Please could you still wear a mask unless you are exempt before finding your seats and if you are moving around the room.

It was nice to have a little break in the middle of rehearsal last week BUT the monitor increased by 150!!!! So lets just talk quietly to our neighbours and if you do have move to talk to someone else please wear a mask.

Pre rehearsal health check

1) Do you have any Covid-19 symptoms now, or have you had any in the last 7 days? (Raised temperature, flu like symptoms, generally feeling unwell,  new persistent cough, loss of or change to your sense of taste or smell).

Yes

No

2) Have you been in very close contact with anyone who has symptoms or tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 7 days and have not had a negative LFT test?

Yes

No

3) Has someone in your household tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 7 days?

Yes

No

4) Within the past 7 days, have you been contacted by ‘Track and Trace’ and told you should self-isolate before taking a PCR test ?

Yes

No

5) Within the past 7 days, have you returned from abroad and told to quarantine?

Yes

No

*** If any of the answers to the above questions is ‘YES’, even if you are fully vaccinated, PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND IN PERSON TO REHEARSAL and adhere to the latest government guidelines. ***
